...sometimes out walking it is possible to feel absorbed enough to lose the sense of self and enter the landscape wholly and allow colour and form to envelop the consciousness - these moments are fleeting and back in the studio there is a similar feeling - a kind of intuition takes over whereby the act of painting is all response, trust and letting go so that you might step back and not recall having made the marks and yet, if only briefly, recognise oneself a little more... Week days 2.00 - 5.30pm. In the main house I will be showing new landscape and figure paintings - also we welcome two guest artists, sculptor and painter Lawrence Dicks in the basement and mixed media and found objects artist Peter Neuner in the garden room.
